It features a 24-karat gold-covered cameo portrait of Sir Frank Wilton Baillie and depicts the Curtiss JN-4 (Canuck) aircraft.

The Curtiss JN-4 (Canuck) was the first mass-produced aircraft in Canada and played a significant role in Canadian aviation, including carrying the first Canadian air mail in 1918.

The coin is made of sterling silver (92.5% silver) and was struck in proof quality.

It is part of a series of coins celebrating significant aircraft in Canadian aviation.
