This is the 2013 Canadian $1 Proof Silver Dollar commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Canadian Arctic Expedition. 

Design: The coin's reverse, designed by Bonnie Ross, features three men and a dog team on a dogsled, with a stylized compass in the background, drawing inspiration from photography of the Canadian Arctic Expedition. 

Composition & Specifications: It is made of 99.99% pure silver, has a diameter of 36.07 mm, and weighs 23.17 grams. 

Commemoration: The coin celebrates the 1913-1918 Canadian Arctic Expedition, a voyage of discovery that explored Canada's High Arctic and documented previously unknown lands, islands, and Arctic life.

This coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt. The inscription "ELIZABETH II D G REGINA" encircles the portrait, which translates to "Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen".
