This is a 1965 Canadian Voyageur silver dollar. This iconic coin was struck by the Royal Canadian Mint and features a design by Emanuel Hahn.
Depicts a voyageur and an indigenous person paddling a birchbark canoe past a small island with two wind-swept trees. In the background, vertical lines represent the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). One of the bundles in the canoe bears the initials "HB" for the Hudson's Bay Company.
Typically features a right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at approximately 27 years of age, surrounded by the inscription "ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA".
