These coins are either 1965 and/or 1966 Canadian 50-cent coin, featuring the Canadian Coat of Arms.
The reverse depicts the Canadian coat of arms, which was modified for the 50-cent piece in 1959 to include a ribbon at the bottom with the motto "A MARI USQUE AD MARE" (From sea to sea). The design was engraved by Thomas Shingles.
The obverse side of this Canadian coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The effigy shown is the second portrait of the Queen used on Canadian coinage, designed by Arnold Machin, which was used from 1965 to 1989.
