This coin is a 2012 "Polar Bear" fine silver collector coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint. It was part of the popular "$20 for $20" series, where the mint offered legal tender commemorative coins at their face value.
Features an illustration of a swimming polar bear in arctic waters, designed by artist Emily S. Damstra. Her initials "ED" are visible on the reverse side.
Features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II at 77 years of age, designed by Susanna Blunt.
