This is a 2015 Canadian $25 Fine Silver Coin, released by the Royal Canadian Mint to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Flag of Canada. 

Designed by Canadian artist Julius Csotonyi, the coin features a selectively colored Canadian flag billowing from a sugar maple tree branch.

Release: Part of the Mint's "$25 for $25" series, which were originally sold at their face value.

Significance: This was the first $25 coin offered by the Mint at face value.
