This is a 2016 Canadian $100 14-karat gold coin commemorating the film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The coin, produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, features vibrant colorized images of Superman and Batman.
The reverse features Superman in the foreground with his iconic blue and red costume, and the shadowy figure of Batman in the background, standing back to back. Frosted silhouette profiles of both characters are also in the background, symbolizing their "two sides of the same coin" relationship.
It came in a premium case designed to "reveal" the coin by pulling the two halves apart.
