This is a September 1999 Canadian 25-cent coin from the "Millennium Quarter" series. The design, titled "Canada Through a Child's Eye," features three children holding hands, which represents peace and a united nation. The design was created by a child named Claudia Bernard (initials "CB" appear on the coin) as part of a nationwide contest held by the Royal Canadian Mint. 

The coin is part of a 12-coin set released throughout 1999, each representing a different aspect of Canadian history or heritage.
