This coin is a 1967 Canadian 25-cent "Bobcat" quarter, issued to celebrate the centennial of the Canadian Confederation (1867-1967). The reverse design features a bobcat, in motion, created by artist Alex Colville.
All Canadian coins released in 1967 featured unique animal-themed reverses to mark the centennial.
Some were minted in 80% silver and 20% copper.
Others were minted in 50% silver and 50% copper.
The obverse shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
