1.20 ozt 1947 Mexican Centenario 50 Pesos Gold Coin

This is a Mexican 50 Pesos Gold Coin, commonly referred to as the Centenario. First minted in 1921 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Mexico's independence from Spain, it is one of the most famous and beautifully designed gold bullion coins in the world.

The reverse features El Ángel de la Independencia (The Angel of Independence), holding a laurel wreath in her right hand and broken chains in her left. The background features Mexico’s famous volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl.

The left side shows 1821 (the year independence was achieved), and the right shows the year of mintage.

It explicitly marks "37.5G ORO PURO", indicating it contains exactly 37.5 grams (1.2057 troy ounces) of pure gold content.
