Design:
The coin features a snake in a gold-plated center, surrounded by other Chinese zodiac animals around the rim. The design for the snake was created by Harvey Chan. 

Significance:
The coin celebrates the Year of the Snake, which is regarded as the seventh and most enigmatic sign of the Chinese zodiac, symbolizing wisdom, intuition, and charisma. 

It is made of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, with a weight of 34 grams and a diameter of 40 mm with selective gold plating.

Mintage: The coin had a mintage of 60,754.

This coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt. The inscription "ELIZABETH II D G REGINA" encircles the portrait, which translates to "Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen".
